The consciousness of the finitude, the precarity of any condition in
each passing moment, the transiency, the gratuitousness, the fullest
indetermination of meaning, in short, the certainty that, thrown in the world,
we’ll still play the last match of chess.
***
The consciousness of the time
flowing goes away, we haven’t even perceived it, and the notion itself fades
away, even embodied in a suit of a human figure – flesh, blood, and bones – and
suddenly we draw a silly smile on the face, a burst of laughter, that one in
which we experience in the funniest situations, and in good humor we feel the
lightness of a serene life.
